| Significance | Katherine was the sixth wife of Henry VIII. She is often considered to be the first Protestant Queen of England. She educated her two step-children, Edward VI and Elizabeth I, as Protestants. She also supported Protestant figures such as Hugh Latimer and Miles Coverdale. She also wrote two important works: Prayers and The Lamentation of a Sinner. |
